Whitsunday Adventure [1] | VLOG

I’ve gone down the road of Vlogging – because apparently nobody reads anymore! I’ll be showcasing my trips around the Whitsunday Islands filling you in on the best spots, a little bit of local history and hopefully a lot of laughter. First one is done and…

Whitsunday Health and Wellness Retreat

Health and Wellness Retreats. I know people say things like, “they are so trendy right now”, and “it’s like yoga, just the latest fad”. But after attending my first one over the weekend, I am not so sure this is the case. Let me set the scene: We were…

Whitsunday Getaways Charter

Last month I was lucky enough to tag along on a Private charter with Whitsunday Getaways on board their new vessel ‘Getaway II’, a beautiful Lagoon 440 catamaran with four private ensuited cabins. Leaving Port of Airlie around 3pm on Friday and arriving back at lunch time Monday…

Whitehaven Beach Yoga Fling

I firmly believe that people come into your life for a reason. Todd and I had the most unorthodox beginning to our friendship and perhaps this is why it has cemented it so strongly. A token invite to a dinner party with 90% of the guests cancelling last minute left…

Lagoon 440 Yoga Flow

You have no idea how excited I was to discover that Getaway II had a big enough space to practice yoga. Here is a little clip from 10 minutes I stole for a quick yoga flow. Standing poses and balance poses are always a challenge to achieve on a moving…

A Lazy 2 days, 1 night Whitsunday Islands Itinerary

When you are short on time and don’t want to cram too much into your day then take it easy and head over to Nara Inlet for the night. Enjoy an easy hike up to a lookout, sail across the Whitsunday Passage and spend the night in one of…

Spearing the Shangri-La

When the Great Barrier Reef is at your doorstep you naturally take advantage of it. Spearing the Shangri-La was born from Glenn having a hankering for fish and a window where the weather was good. Mitchell was flown home to restock the freezer and Glenn used it as an…

The Unofficial Hill Inlet Lookout

In 2014 a skipper told me about a cruising yachty track up to the opposite side of the Hill Inlet Lookout. It’s not an official walk but the kind you can only find from a conversation in a bar with an old local, or from hitting your friends up…

What is Yoga?

Yoga, it’s everywhere. It’s all over the media, on cereal boxes, in magazines, on television and plastered all over social media as a way to broadcast how zen and on trend people are. Let’s face it, its popularity is up there with the realms of crossfit and…

You are the sum of the stories you can tell

"The difference between an ordinary life and an extraordinary life is only a matter of perspective. Pull the blinds. Look around you. It is a weird wonderful world and you do not require a ten digit bank account to immerse yourself in it. Travel down dusty roads without a destination in mind. Climb a mountain and scream into the void. Kiss a stranger. Skinny dip in a lake. Get lost and lose yourself (these are two seperate things). Think less of destiny and more of the moment right here. Because in the end, as you reflect back on your life in that hospital bed, surrounded by all your family and friends, fame won't matter, nor will the extent of your wealth - you are only the sum of the stories you can tell."
